The Power of Stillness: Embracing Rest and Reflection This Winter Season
How have you been feeling lately?
This winter season has been a bit different huh? But still good nonetheless.
Lately, I've been feeling very still & reflective.
And I absolutely love it!
Enjoying a season of stillness is so healthy. Even the earth knows when it should relax and rest.
Then why shouldn’t we?
What if this holiday season we all just sat down and sipped on our own tea? Add a little honey, some lemons, and a few flavors. And just love ya very best still life.
And remember still is whatever it means for you. So if yours looks different from theirs #nojudgement and certainly #noprojections.
Let’s live and let live…
If you need a few ideas to get you started here are some of my absolute faves: journaling, reading a book, sitting by your window watching & feeling the sun, lighting a fire pit, yoga, laughing with friends, really good book - did I say that twice?
Lol, I used to love to read, and that is a real-life example of how I’ve rediscovered myself in my stillness. My excitement to fall into the pages of a book has been re-imagined!
I’m reading Theirs We’re Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston for the very first time. Don’t take my card please 😂
But as I tell my kids, let’s focus on giving ourselves what we need AND giving to others. Both can be true at the same time.
And neither is more selfish or selfless than the other. But hold on, that’s for another blog for another day. Should it be the next one?
